Jalapeño Grilled Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 2 lb extra-large peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp Jalapeño Verde & Limón
  • Optional: fresh cilantro

Directions

  1. Blend all of the ingredients except for the sugar and shrimp in a food processor until smooth. Transfer to a large bowl, setting aside a few tablespoons. 
  2. Add the shrimp to the bowl with marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
  3. While your shrimp are marinating, preheat your grill, and oil lightly to prevent sticking. 
  4. Skewer the marinated shrimp, and sprinkle 1 side of with sugar. Grill, sugared side down, until lightly charred, 3 to 4 minutes. Flip and cook until the shrimp is no longer translucent, 1 to 2 minutes. 
  5. Remove and toss with reserved marinade. Serve over rice with a side of lime and cilantro.
