Parmesan Cheese Sticks with Montreal Bagel Spice

Ingredients

  • 14-ounce box Butter Puff pastry (thawed from frozen)
  • 1 large egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
  • 1 Cup grated Parmesan 
  • All-purpose flour, for rolling 
  • Montreal Bagel Spice (approx 2 tablespoons or to taste)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to (400°F) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. 
  • On a flour-dusted surface, start by rolling out a sheet of thawed puff pastry into a rectangle (about 1/8 inch thick).
  • Whisk the egg with the water and brush the puff pastry with the egg wash.
  • Sprinkle the puff pastry lightly with Montreal Bagel Spice.
  • Sprinkle plenty of grated parmesan cheese all over, pressing in gently.
  • Cut the rectangle into long strips (about 3/4 inch thick) using a knife or a pizza cutter.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and the strips on a sheet pan, then twist.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
