Taqueria Rubbed Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 16oz boneless New York strip steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp Organic Taqueria Blend

Directions

  1. Season steaks with Taqueria Blend and chill uncovered for 2-4 hours.
  2. Remove steaks from fridge and let sit at room temperature for 1 hour. This will help ensure they cook quickly and evenly.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Cook steaks 2 minutes or so on each side to create a nice crust.
  5. Transfer skillet to oven; cook steaks until the thickest part registers 120°F for medium-rare (about 5 minutes).
  6. Transfer steaks to a cutting board. Let rest 10 minutes and serve.
